Introducing yourself: basic sentences

This basic sentences will help you to introduce yourself in Spanish.

hola, me llamo... / hi, my name is..

tengo 25 años    / I'm 25 years old

vivo en México / I live in Mexico

estudio español / I study Spanish / I'm studying Spanish

soy un joven (muchacho, chico) / I'm a boy

soy una joven (muchacha, chica) / I'm a girl

estudio español / I study Spanish/ I'm learning Spanish.

soy un joven (muchacho, chico) / I'm a boy En realidad no se porque incluiste estas oraciónes.  En inglés no se usa, "I'm a boy." o "I'm a girl."

soy una joven (muchacha, chica) / I'm a girl

Me gusta / I like ...

I think he Sanz was talking about how it can be used when you are in a chat or forum and you can't tell the sex of a person (by their name).

Obviously you wouldn't say I'm a boy when the person is in front of you. (Unless you are a guy with make-up on and a dress and it's hard to tell your sex! ;) )
