May someone write down the personal pronouns in Spanish?

Portuguese          English               Spanish

Eu                          I                       Yo

Tu                    You (informal)          Tú

                        You (formal)         Usted

Ele                        He                      El

Ela                        She                    Ella

Nós                      We             Nosotros / Nosotras

Vós                      You          Vosotros / Vosotras

                            You                 Ustedes

Eles/Elas               They              Ellos / Ellas

In English there is (IT) a pronoun neutro. We don't have it in Portuguese.

Hi Matress

I took the liberty of editing your post and including the Spanish Pronouns in your original post.

There is no 'it' in Spanish either.

Is it correct that 'vosotros' is no longer used in many Spanish speaking countries? At the University where I study Spanish (in the U.S.) we are no longer taught "vosotros." My professors say that in Mexico it is never used. True??

That's right. Vosotros is still used in Spain referring to 'YOU' in an informal (plural) context.

In Chile (and I think the rest of the Latin American countries) they use Ustedes for both the informal and formal YOU in plural form.

I noticed that I hadn't put Ustedes in the first post (since the portuguese pronoun wasn't there) so I have now added it.

Let me see if I understand!

For tú you can say usted

For nosotros you can say ustedes

For exemplo: verbo "haber"  no presente do indicativo

yo he

tú has or usted  has

él he

nosotros hemos

vosotros  habéis  or  ustedes habéis ( the one first is oldsfahioned)

ellos han

Is that right?

I'm very happy! I'm starting to learn Spanish!!!  :)

May you answer me in Spanish?  I'll apreciate that!!!

For tú you can say usted

For nosotros you can say ustedes

Tu y usted se refieren a la 2ºpersona del singular, pero es informal y usted es más formal. Nosotros es la 1º persona del plural y ustedes la 2º persona del plural.

In Mexico the only place where "vosotros" is used is on churches during the mass. Also in some theatre plays.

Vosotros is only used in Spain. The problem is that when you decide to use it you must use another set of conjugations for it. the advantage is that you will understand Spaniards if you learn the conjugations.

Saludos
